Cantine Olivella was founded in Sant’Anastasia, at the foot of Mount Somma within the Vesuvius National Park, in the heart of the Somma-Vesuvius volcanic complex, shaped by the Plinian eruption of 79 AD.

This protected area provides the ideal habitat for vine cultivation—an ancient tradition that we have proudly revived and enhanced.

Today, we represent the fourth generation of winemakers, fortunate to grow our vines on volcanic-sandy soil, perfectly suited for ungrafted rootstock and for using the propagation technique known locally as pass annanz.
